Welcome to Silverado Horses
The Elite Horse Training Facility dedicated to developing well-trained, well-bred, horses for both recreational and performance riders.
Home of the incredible "Silverado Gypsies" where we breed, raise, train and create Unicorns!
“Dedicated to the love of the horse, and a passion for riding, our horses receive the best in equine training.”
Our Mission
We pride ourselves in producing top quality pleasure and performance horses for all ages and levels of riders.
Every Silverado Horse goes through an extensive 2 month groundwork training program prior to being saddled. This 38 step program ensures every horse has a solid foundation with exposure to many training aids.
Once saddled, every horse experiences many different terrains, sounds and environments.
Approximately 1,000 hours of training goes into every horse ensuring your equine partner is well-rounded and desensitized to as many experiences as possible!
Training Highlights:
Proper roundpen training.
Groundwork techniques to garner respect and create a safe boundary and confidence.
Liberty skills.
Approach, walk and ride obstacles with confidence.
Trailer loading.
Grooming, clipping, vet & farrier.
Hundreds of hours spent in the arena and back country trails.

Good Riding Starts with Good Horsemanship
Horse owners need to know how to effectively communicate with their horses. Learning how your horse thinks and how best to communicate with him through fundamental groundwork and riding exercises will give both you and your horse the confidence for a safe, respectful and fun partnership.
Next, focus on gaining more control of your horse’s feet on the ground and achieving suppleness and collection in the saddle.
Continue to develop your feel and timing further and learn to cue your horse to do advanced maneuvers on the ground and under saddle with simply a suggestion.
